Arsenal eyes Southampton left-back and former Chelsea player, Ryan Bertrand.
According to a report from Simon Collings of the Evening Standard, Arsenal are considering a move for Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand.
Earlier this month, Sead Kolasinac left the Emirates to join Schalke on loan, the Gunners are in look out for a left-back.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Bukayo Saka, who has played in an attacking role this term, are the back-up options for regular left-back Kieran Tierney.
The 31-year-old whose contracts with the club remain six months, has made 246 Premier League appearances.
According to the Evening Standard, he has held initial talks with the club over extending the deal.
Report has it that he is happy staying at Southampton, though the Gunners are considering a move for him.
Meanwhile, the Saints are eager to keep the 31-year-old, who is their only senior left-back. Therefore, they are unlikely to sanction a January deal.
The England international has been with Southampton since leaving Chelsea in 2014 and still lives in London, commuting to the south coast every day.
The Emirates look set to be be one of the Premier League’s busier clubs this month, having already confirmed the signing of Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan on loan.
The 28-year-old has been out of favour on the south coast and will now provide back-up to Bernd Leno.
A loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard is also thought to be close.
